About

The OG Riley5

The name Riley5 stems way back to when I was five years of age. It was then that my creativity shot up and drawing was all I seemed to do. On every drawing I made, I’d sign it with a shaky “Riley5” just like all the professionals did.

Then I turned six and “Riley6” never took off. It was all downhill from there.

Based in Melbourne, I work as a freelance animator and video editor, working across the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. On the left is my partner and a fellow Motion Designer, Lydia Evans.

We’ve worked on numerous projects together for many years, most noticeably creating festival screened (MIAF & AIAF) animation The Rusty Hook and the #SportShorts series for CrownBet.

I’m most proficient inside Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, and working regularly with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign. I’ve also been exploring 3D inside of Cinema 4D, experimenting with OTOY’s Octane Renderer.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with some superb clients such as CrownBet, John Deere, Rackspace, MYOB and NewMac.

I attended Deakin University for Bachelors of Creative Arts (Animation and Motion Capture) and graduated in 2016 with Distinction.
